MAF ???

Are there any significant performance advantages to any certain manufacturer? I know the 73mm SIZE will help, but does KIND matter? Reason I am asking, is that Vortec seems lesser expensive ($125 new) than some others...

In stock or very mild aplications Vortech/ C&L meters seem to work ok. High HP or cammed motors seem to respond better w/ Pro-M meters due to their superior sampling methods.

My Vortec housing was expensive, It cost me $215 from Summit. That was just for the housing, it didnt come with a sensor, you have to splice wires with the equipment they send you and use the old sensor. But it worked well.

I use a C&L 73 (Vortech) It works great for me!

With the Vortech meter you have to put the stock sensor on it. So it may be a lile cheaper. The Pro-M 75 comes with the sensor, but is made out of chrome plated cheap thinwall tubing. The Vortech is cast aluminum.

I have heard the Pro-M is a little better because is electronically calibrated, rather than using a sampling tube to fool the sensor.

I was using the 73mm Vortech as well, and it is a good unit. It's for sale if you need one.

Keep in mind that if you go with a Pro-M meter and decide to change injector size you'll have to shell out more hard earned money to have Pro-M recalibrate the meter.

There are some really high horsepower cars out there running great with a C&L meter. Also, C&L is making a 76mm MAF now which looks to be pretty cool.
