MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
well ive got a code 56(maf voltage too high) so i decided to try to clock my mass air meter(73mm c&l) but didnt have any real luck. its at .79 volts at idle and i couldnt get it to go any lower(cars running wayy too rich)
could my mass air sensor be shot? its the stock sensor just in the 73mm c&l |
Re: MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
It sounds like you've got some junk on your MAF element.
Just clean the two thin wire elements with some evaporating electronic parts cleaner. Be careful though, easy to break those things. You should be fine after that. good luck... |
Re: MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
thanks for the help, i owe ya one

Re: MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
well just cleaned it, it feels a little better but still not 100%.
the voltage also did not change, still showing basically .8 at idle??? |
Re: MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
I have the same Mass air sensor as you. Do you have the correct sample tube in the meter.

Re: MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
yup, when i bought it i specified that i wanted it for a 19lb injector. since i saw barely any voltage change when clocking, could this indicate a bad mass air sensor?

Re: MAF Code? Clocking Maf?
is there any way to test my mass air sensor before i go out and replace it? im sure it is fubar, voltage on the d wire is about .8 and barely moves when i clock the c&l.
thanks for any help |
