making a change
does anyone know how hard it is to change out a v6(slow as hell) to a 5.0, i know i will need a tranie, but how much do they run for a 5.0 the car is an 86 mustang. n 1 day it will be an 86 mustang 5.0. what all parts will i kneed?

The new T-5Z tranny is $1200.. Motor all depends on how much you want to spend. You will also need a new 8.8" Rear end, the one you have should be a 7.6" I think, that will run you $600ish. Bell-housing, and so forth clutch, extra's.. $350... So you have quite an expensive project before you. If I were you go look into purchasing a 5.0 stang and if your body is worth it do a swap for just about everything in it. You can get a 87-90 stang with a shitty botty for 1500-2500 and that would cover everything you need. Or spend 4-5K on the parts you will need.
