Man my 5.0 (Sucks!!!!!)

Ok hears the deal I finaly got to go to the track friday night. This was the first time I got to run my car. Man I got smoked by any and everything out there I even lossed to a lightly modded 2000 gmc truck. Lightning threw out the track sensors so all the time slips were showing was the 1/4 mile time. I got waxed by a girl driving a 00'camaro I was pulling her in first and was about to pass her then she hit her nos and blew me away by 20 car lengths.(That sucked) The best time I was able to pull was a 15.4. I think that when I get more time behind the wheel I will be able to pull a high 14 track conditions were less than favorable and I was spinning pretty bad off the line. On my 15.4 run I shifted really well and came off the line good I was shocked to se that I ran a 15.4 http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/eek.gif. I think that my timing is f*cked, and my car was not wanting to start up so something may be wrong with my car. I was shifting at 5200 rpm's and was leaving the line at 2500 rpm's. Third gear was at 4 grand when I crossed the line. So does anyone no what gear ratio my car has? I see stock 5.0's running mid 14's so hell I dont know whats wrong with mine http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif. There is one advantage to my car running so damn slow. My girlfriend was pissed and gave me the ok to dump some cash into it. On the way very soon 3.73 gears...Off road X-pipe and nos cause there is no way that im gonna let someone dust me like that again. Sorry for the length.

Yeah i put in another post you were in...
Check your door panel tag in drivers door.
Under axle code....
m=2.73
z=3.08
e=2.73(AOD only)

Go ahead and do your timing, try about 12*, remove the silencer(if you haven't already), Put a K&N in there, use some water wetter and 180* stat.
Practice your launch and you should be able to pull mid-14's pretty easy.
too bad the clock was screwed cuz 60' time is important. But i'm sure that's where you lost all your ET.
No MPH on the ticket either???

That's what i meant....code is same for AOD or T5...i was trying to say that 3.27 was available in AOD only.

GEARS!! With the mods you already have you should be in the 14's on a bad day. You might want to shift a little later and get those nittos HOT, they hook way better. I've found my best times came with a slight bog off the line( that was with McCrearys )But I would say gears would be a wise investment.
