Default manual brake conv.??

I would like to put manual brakes in my 88 (4 cyl body). Anyone have any ideas that could help me. So far all I heard is to get a 79 mustang master cyl, which I did. But I see how it mounts to the firewall is different. Is there some adapter plate I can get or do I have to fab one up? Thanks.

Can manual brakes stop the car with a kit? When tuning my carb, I switched my brake booster vacuum hose for a hose with a vacuum guage on the end. Man....

I was grinding my teeth stomping the pedal to stop the car from rolling away in the driveway _at idle_ in drive.
