82GT, you may not need the flaming river shaft kit. Some of the early foxes had manual racks in them, and have an adjustment in the steering shaft. My friend's 85 had this, and we bolted up the stock shaft (rag joint) and everything works fine.
As for driving, its pretty good. Slow, tight turns suck tho. But its better than what I thought, the last manual steering car I drove was a 1962 Mercury Monterey Custom with a 352. Talk about a huge steering wheel, and it had manual brakes. What a drive tho....
