Question Lowering=traction loss?

I want to lower my car and not too long ago I noticed Eibach had a drag kit. People on here told me that this kit raises the car. Well, heh heh, I am not buying that. BUT! Does this mean that lowering your car reduces traction? I know its all about weight transfer, but I just can't judge this problem by common sense this time.

well, from what ive herd, the eibach lowers the car a little compared to stock, but if you want to lower your car and have better traction, 4cyl springs should lower it about 1.5" and you will hook up.

id go with the eibach though.....

I've been researching the "ultimate" setup for both drag racing, and cornering. The best ideas I've heard so far is to go with an adjustable coil over setup on the front and rear from Griggs Racing, UPR, or anyone else doing the coil over conversions. One of the techs at Griggs suggested that I go that route and buy two sets of springs. One for every day use with a high spring rate, and the other with a lower rate for the drag strip. I've heard this same setup suggestion from a few different sources and companies and they all pretty much say the same thing.

Other than that you'll sacrifice on cornering when you try to make the car hook and vice versa, so the only true way to make it work is go completely adjustable. You're talking money for a setup like this, but you'd be the envy of all your friends because you could raise and lower your car and adjust the shock/strut stiffness with ease

Torque arms and panhard bars seem to help for both drag racing and handling, but unfortunately stiff springs and shocks don't hook up so well off the line and soft springs and shocks cause poor handling. So I think that the suggestion about adjustable coilovers with two different sets of springs and adjustable shocks and struts is your best bet.

Cool

If you're not worried about launching at the track, get the Eibach lowering kit - 1.5" lower than stock. It won't hurt your launches, it just won't help either. It will however realy help you in cornering hard though.

but the question still remains. If you were to bet money on a stock suspension or a lowered one(not too much), which would you say might have worse traction?
