Default mass air sensor question

I just got a bigger mass air sensor. When i got it, i figured it would need a new electronic sensor on it. The box said that it could use the stock electronics. All the other ones that i saw came with the electronics. Is this mass air sensor crap pretty much? i figure it wouldnt do much if the computer doesnt know that more air is comming in.

Thanks

As stated before, the C&L uses the stock electronics. I have the 73mm and have no complaints. The sensor died on me once, so instead of having to send the entire unit back to the manufacturer, I just went to the local parts store and bought another stock unit, and put the electronics back in the C&L and it runs great again. So, in my opinion, NO they're not crap, and I'd buy one again, in fact I'm thinking of moving up to the 76mm C&L.

The stock MAF sensor will work just fine. It "knows" more air is going through it by measuring how fast those two heated wires are cooled. The sample tube is the only thing you need to be worried about. It has to match the rating of your fuel injectors.

btw, I have a C&L 76mm and it works great........
