TKO and clutch combo
I am about to purchase a new TKO tranny. I have been told that I will have to buy a new clutch for it. (because the splines are different)
I currently have a Sacs Gold Series clutch in my T5. I love that clutch. It's pretty new (4G miles on it) and I want to use it in my TKO. Is this true? Can I use the same clutch or do I have to buy a new one? If so, what kind to yall recomend? I was thinking "if" I have to buy a new one, I was going to look into getting a RAM clutch. Keep in mind, my car is a street/strip car. I need something that will hold about 750 RWHP. |

with the tko u have to use a different clutch, driveshaft yoke, bellhousing and u have to modify the crossmember or just get 1 thats not welded so that it can move. i have got 2 new trannys for the mustangs 1 was a world class and the other was a tko .
i would not get anything but a tko. i use a ram 900 series |

Ditto, to ALL points made.
You need new clutch, p/p, bellhousing, driveshaft, and crossmember. Pictures of most of these parts: http://www.dariusrudis.com/mustang/tko/

Is the rumor true about being able to us an AOD crossmember with the TKO?
If so, then I'm all set whenever I get around to the Tremec. I reused my crossmember when I swapped the T-5 in.

If the AOD crossmember looks like what drudis posted, then it should work.
I just purchased the adjustable crossmember and then welded it to fit (the position for my Tremec is exactly like the picture drudis posted - all the way to the back). Good luck, E
