Console VS PC Games...
The whole X-box tread got me thinking.
Can the current console games compete with PC games? I rarely find myself playing with my playstation 2, usually I am playing one of the following: Max Payne Aliens Vs Predator 2 (Current all time fav) Return to Castle Wolfenstien Quake 3 (still!) Worms World Party MAME (multi arcade machine emulator) It runs the actual arcade game code for over 3000 games as new as 99 and as old as space invaders! Have 257 games downloaded...all free are there any console games that can compare to these? Give some examples! -ed |

Consoles are like Cameros and PC games are like MUSTANGS!!!! We all know that Mustangs are better then Cameros, but there are some Cameros that try... There are only two games that I have played that come close to the PC. They are GT3 and Grand Theft Auto (the newest version) for the PS2. I played them at my friends house. In my opinion, give me a PC anyday!!!

pc games=resolution
there isnt nothign wrong with console games. i think PC's will walk all over them. let me explain why.
when Sony or X-box or whatever, advertises its games console, it shows you how well the graphics are. evertime you see them in stores, arent they ALWAYS on a TV set for display? that is the trick to make them "look" so good. i believe the resolution they run at is only 640x480!!! now on a TV screen, thats very good. now take that SAME game and put it on a monitor. you will see all the flaws and the graphics dont look so good. monitors get twice the resolution any tv can get, even the HD tv's. ever try to play a PC game on your TV? looks like CRAP! to the best of my knowledge, nothing can touch the resolution and the refresh rates of a monitor. so i will stick with my PC for games. as for what games are good on Consoles, here are mine: One PS1 Gran Turismo PS1&2 Need for Speed 3,4,5 PS1 Syphon Filter 1,2 PS1 Resident Evil PS1&2 basically an EA Sports game on the PS1&2 NFL BLITZ!! PS1&2 havent touched the x-box yet, probably wont(microshi*) and only played a couple of games on the PS2. i like the PS2 so far. and to answer your question, NO. i dont think any console can compete to PC games until they start using "monitors" instead of "TV's" to show off their resolution.
