Default Mod Advice for a 5.0L Cobra

Hey Everyone,
I recently bought a 1994 Indy Pace Edition Cobra, and am looking for some easy HP increase for relatively cheap. I previously had a 98 GT that I modded a lot, so I'm a lot more acquainted with the 4.6L.
I have installed cat-back exhaust, an x-pipe w/ two high flow cat.s, a short-throw shifter, and a cold air intake on the cobra. I was playing around with the idea of a throttle body for some cheap gain, can you actually get more than around 5 horses at the crank (almost nothing at the wheels) from this? Also, I was wondering how good mods like headers, gears, pullies, mass air sensor, etc. are for the 5.0L, because I know those were some of the best mods for cheap gain on the 4.6L.
Thanks a lot for your help,

-94IndyCobra

yes the pullies, gears, headers, electric fans are all good horsepower gains.

Whatever you did to the 4.6L will work with your 5.0L, just with diferent parts.

Lethal50h those are some impressive gains with just the ignition, good to see they live up to the promises. I was lookin at that kit, one more thing to add to my parts list now.

Is it true that the pullies can give you stalling problems on the 5.0L?

Some people run into charging or cooling issues when using the underdrive pullies. however, I have all 3 pullies on my set up and have no problems. At idle, the alternator puts out a little less than normal, but I have never had any problems starting the car or anything. My battery still charges up fine.

I wouldn't spend your money on a throttle body right now. I don't think you would notice a thing.

Also, I have the Gt-40 crate motor in mine, which uses the same heads as your Cobra (GT-40 irons). I am getting the power in my sig. with a B-cam, GT-40 intake, and all the usual bolt ons, including TB and MAF. That may just give you a little idea about what you might want to do with your combo.

Yeah I was thinking of doing some shorty headers and 3.73s next. Also, anyone know what I can fit on the set of 17x9.5 bullit wheels (and on the cobra itself) I have in my garage? I had heard that I could fit 275/40/17s, and maybe even 285s without having to buy spacers, wondering if anyone's put anything like that on their car. Thanks,

I currently have 275/40/17s on my car, i have rubbing problems on the quad shocks due to my 11" wide rims with the tires stretched on. but other wise you shouldnt have a problem.

First, stay away from the pullies. They are 25% underdrive, I put a set on mine and then found out Cobra's came stock with 15% underdrive pullies. I am running stock rims with 245/45/ZR17 on the front and 275/40/ZR17 on the back.
