Modification with speed density

I would like to know how far I can modify an engine (speed density) without having to switch to mass air. I planned to install normal bolt-on (pullies, ram air kit) I also planned to install headers and possibly an intake for now. I would like to know when you need to switch to mass air.

You need to go with mass air when you want to run a more than mild cam or in the event that you want to go with forced induction. IMO.

My car is speed density and it still works fine at my mod level.

Although I am considering swapping over to mass air.
