Default 1.7 rockers?

Quick question:
Do you think I would see any significant gains by switching to a 1.7 ratio over my current 1.6's with the combo listed below?
Anybody running a similar combo?
As always your help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
Nick

with that B cam, you'll definately want the 1.7's. It brings the total lift up to .510/.510

but in my honest opinion, If it were me, I would get rid of the cam, keep the current rockers, and get a more aggressive custom cam.

good luck with it,
-drew

Thanks for the replies guys..
Would I better off going for a custom grind cam than swapping out my 1.6's for 1.7's?
So far I've had zero probs with my B cam, and I love the lope at idle.
Thanks!
Nick

The 1.7 rockers with the B cam is a proven combination. I run it in my motor and am very happy with the way it performs. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people that say it's outdated, and maybe it is, but the bottom line is that it's been a great runner for a long time. I'm sure if you went with a custom cam designed just for your set up, you will pick up a couple of tenths over the B and 1.7's, but you'll spend alot of money for the custom cam too. If your at the track alot and looking for every tenth you can get, that's the way to go, but if you have a street car that ya take to the track now and then the 'ol B with 1.7's is still a hard one to beat.

I just installed a custom gring Comp Cam in my ride and it took 4/10 th's off my 1/8 mile time with the 1.6 RR's,I went from the Crane compucam, similar to the B cam to the Xtreme Energy custom grind ( 258.00) from Comp. Specs are as follows:.512 I-.512 E- 224I & 230 E duration @ 108deg seperation. and it ROCKS!!!! took it to the track just today and my 60's were down by 2/10th's,ET was 4/10's better and MPH was up by 4,I am very please with the money I spent seeing that a new set of RR's are around 200 bucks,it's a better combo to me. If you can get that from 1.7's and do less work go for it.
