MSD Blaster coil noise (2)
Well I emailed MSD about the problem I have with the noisy MSD TFI Blaster coil. They said it happens and to use rubber grommets. I took the plastic trim off of the stock coil and put it on the MSD coil along with rubber grommets, it made less noise but is still very noisy. Since this is a stock 5.0 engine and all I will be adding is an MSD 6A ignition, will the old stock coil be fine? Or do I need a more powerful coil, such as the MSD TFI Blaster coil I'm having problems with?
fustrated............

I would run the MSD coil no matter what. As goes for the noise I have the blaster 3 and I don't here the coil. But maybe because the car is so damb loud.
I would try to borrow someone elses MSD coil to see if it is still that noisy? Maybe the guys at MSD is not taking you seriously? Good luck |

dont know anyone around here with an msd TFI coil. i'm returning it to Summit, the question is, i have three options:
1- get my money back and use stock coil 2- exchange and cross my fingers for a quiet MSD coil 3- get a different brand coil i'm leaning towards #2, maybe i just got a bad one. anyone else have noise issues with MSD or any others?
