Jester-
I am back and fourth on it, I really like the sound on that one particular series of Flowmaster. But it seems they are a little out dated technology now. Then again, my combo really doesnt need the best flowing muffler.....decisions decisions.

Go with what YOU like the sound of, you're the one that has to listen to it everyday. No slamming your ride AT ALL (Cuz I LOVE that car!) but obviously you're not trying to tweak each and every extra horsepower you can out of it, so I wouldn't worry about the outdated tech.

Just my $.02 bro!

One product that hasn't been mentioned much is the Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers. They're relatively cheap (<$50) and sound amazing. I have them on my fastback... 351W, full-length headers, 2.5" h-pipe. I get tons of compliments, even from Mopar and Chevy guys. At idle they have a definite rumble, but not "loud". When you step on it the sound is incredible. They're not overly noisy by any means, but you WILL be heard when you stomp on it. I love them and highly recommend them.

rwhite65, that's awesome you have a restored 79 Ford F-250 4x4, i drove my dad's '78 F-150 4x4 in high school in almost mint condition and i've wanted one ever since. In my opinion they are the best looking trucks ever made!

All of this thread has made me realize im sick of my flowmasters, not to mention they are old and rusted, and i believe they are developing a rattling noise.

So I was on www.mustangexhaust.com and I found what i want, i think, The "hooker" aero chambers! they sound rowdy to me, but i was only able to here them on a modular stang since no sound clips were available for windsors yet, anyone here had any experience with these? Im gonna order some since i got a new welder too, probaly gonna dump them, and go from there.

"stanger66" The race bullet mufflers are made by dynomax I think, they will definately wake up the neighborhood, kinda similar to a glasspack though, my buddy had some on a h/c/i 93 gt, he had many compliments, but got rid of them because they were too loud.
