I have MAC unequ. shortys, BBK offroad H-pipe, and 2 chamber MAC mufflers with chrome LX tips....

I grumble at idle, but when I get on it.. I have been told that ppl can hear me litteraly 2-3 blocks away when they are INSIDE their house

I love the sound of my exhaust... but it's going to change here shortly

man i used to be with ya on the sound. its a matter of give an take an personal taste. Up till yesterday i had no cats, and dumps (loud as WW3,) but the whole car shook at crusing speeds of 15 and 30mph, i couldn't hear my music, and i noticed that most of the noise was comin from the engine and you could hear it, it jus didn't sound so kool when ya mashed the floor. it was just unpleasant in comparrison to my x pipe and hi-flo cats put on(long story, email if ya wanna here it) any ways my guys at my shop put on pipes an tips for a good price and i'll admit, when i turned the key for the first time, i was a lil surprised at the reduced sound i have now...untill i nailed that gas...whoo whee!! she jus sounds nasttttay now with that familiar 5.0 snarl and the interior resonance is so much nicer, plus with out my dumps all the sound is back in the rear and i can here my music. i swear to god, that you think its loud but eventually ya ears grow acoustomed to it...an given the right circumstances ya might even begin to hate it after awile. but if ya wanna go that way, i suggest removin the cats, puttin an off road pipe and goin no mufflers,(your not gonna pass any emissions tho). the beautiful thing is these cars sound great no matter what ya runnin, you jus get a lil more longjevity out of it, and ya help protect the enviroment.

Got a buddy that has a Big Block 69 Camaro ( I know its a Camaro but this one is tough fellas) its fully redone with a 454. He has long tubes straight pipe and 1 chamber flows with dumps. This is all 3" also. It sounds freakin awesome. I pride myself on having a decently loud 302 in my truck and it still sounding good. I got nothing on this guy.

Probably straight pipes, but if you want your 302 to sound like a 428, install an non-cat h-pipe with 2 chamber flowmasters dumped or with 3" tailpipes, I had this and everyone thought I had a big-block motor.

I also had a "B" cam.
