mustang gt vs camaro z28
hey guys(and girls), it's me again. i'm almost finished with my payments on my 1994 mustang gt, and am wondering if the 1993-1997 lt1 motor has more potential than the 1987-1995 302. i'm also wondering which one has more torque between 1000 and 3000 rpm. any thoughts on this?

Well, being that you are on a Mustang board, I think the majority will say the 5.0 :). I know both can be made fast, but I think that most people here would tell you that the 5.0 is proven to be dependable (even when modded), and has a huge, proven aftermarket to support it.

both cars have great performance. one of the reasons i prefer the mustang is because it has a much larger variety of aftermarket parts. another is it's roomier interior. what i was wondering is what the z-28's torque curve is. does it make alot of power at low rpm's like the mustang, or does it have alot more power at a high rpm?

Ever change the plugs on a late model Camaro? Pack a lunch.
Given the loss of cubic inches to the cheby, the 302 holds its own well. |
i have looked under the hood of a late camaro. i wouldn't want to work on anything under there, unless i were a smurf or something. i already have work done on my car, and future plans. i'll keep it and have some fun. thanks.
