your tips and advice are GREATLY appreciated. As far as junkyards go, none of the junkyards here seem to carry T5's even the MUSTANG JUNKYARD!!!! so I'm just going to patiently wait for a good donor car to pop up in the trading post- til then I'll be readin up on how to do the swap.

Also- my 90 lx currently has cruise control. I want it to work after the swap. what considerations must be meet in order to keep my cruise control?
And I was talking to someone at school about the swap and he was tellin me I had to do something with a 10 or 20 pin connector? he was being vague and I don't think he knew what he was talking about.... anyone have a clue about what he was talking about?

oh btw, Briand... how much did the swap come to once you were finished?

This may sound stupid... but, I have another mustang- a 1980 with a 200 inline six. it originally had an automatic but the guy who i got it from swapped in a 4 -speed manual. ..... would this fit in my 90 lx?

t5z= $1200
clutch= $169
bellhousing= $275
clutch cable & quadrant= $100
hurst billet shifter= $189
flywheel= $89
pedal assembly= $40
misc stuff (pilot bearing,....)= $100

so probably all in all it cost me about $2200. you can do this for cheaper thought if you use the stock shifter that comes with the trans and you buy a stock junkyard bellhousing. and no i wouldn't put a 4spd in a your mustang. if those our your options i would surely stay with the auto and get it fixed before i put in a 4 spd. take it easy man
