1.7's with the stock cam.
Is this a worth while mod that will actually make me faster or would it be a waist of time. I have noticed that most of the speed density cars that are fast are running 1.7's with the stock cam. How much HP do you think I would pick up.

Well I have them I put then on with the new heads...if you put a new cam in it wilo be VAry hard to get it tuned right so thats why every one does the 1.72 it will still run ok with them and help out a bit I am no tsure how much it does tho.

Im waiting for my crane 1.7's to come in the mail, they advertise better gas mileage and lower oil temps, i can see why, its self explanitory, also it is a bolt on 15 quick ponies, or less, maybe 10, when the valve covers are off, i'll probaly decide on swapping springs too, since mine may float at the rpm the rr's will take me too..whatever that means, also they chatter a bit, but i think it sounds cool.
