Unhappy My gauges aren't working

I had this problem even before I rebuilt my engine and put everything back together. My battery gauge needle isn't even in view. Is there an easy fix, or do I have to take my whole dashboard off? Come to think of it, the gauges that are working, aren't working properly. The battery gauge is the only one that doesn't even show a needle. Sorry this is vauge, but if you need any other info, let me know what you need to know. Thanks, Keith
