Default summit race radiator

Anyone have an opinion or review to offer on the summit race radiator for fords, they have a 25 3/4" X 19" or a 28" X 19" aluminum 2 row radiator for $169. Fully welded no epoxy or gaskets.

Right now I'm running a stock radiator and electric fan and it works beautifully except that the radiator got pushed in at the bottom corner and started leaking. I had it repaired at a local shop and it was fine, but once I took it out to work on the front of the engine and put it back in, it started leaking again and much worse now, so it's time for a new one.

Let me know what you think, I'm probably gonna order it tomorrow afternoon anyway, so I'll give a review on it once I install.

they are pretty good if you want it to fit right get the 28" radiator the 25 is to narrow and you will have to move the holddowns

My goodness this thing is huge!

I just received the radiator and it is at least 3" thick, probably 3.5"! The stock one is like an 1 1/2". Well, I'll probably install it tomorrow, let you know, hope I can still use the shroud...

Ok guys here are the pics...

I couldn't use the shroud the radiator dimensions were different, whereas the stock measured 24.5" between the tanks, the alum measured 22.5". This didn't allow for the shroud to slide into that space. It also blocked access to the lower spout. ALSO, I couldn't use the stock radiator holddowns because the 1.5" difference in radiator length didn't allow for the hold downs to line up, still got to figure out something to work there as I'm currently using wire ties!

Here's the stock radiator and shroud...

and here's the modified setup...

Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to hold down the radiator! Thanks guys

If you have any problems clicking the links just copy and paste them in a new browser window...they'll open.
