![]() I've recently changed from 3.73s to 4.10 and on the same day of doing the gear swap I added a Hi6 ignition. Ever since my car can't go past about 5700rpms on my stock tach.
I've replaced the stock speedo gear with a 23 tooth and have had the rev limiter removed by getting it custom tuned on a dyno. I was fine before the 4.10s and the ingition. My car also has a 3000 stall converter so goes through the rpms pretty fast. Do any of you guys have any ideas??? Thanks, Tony

![]() What did you set the rotory dials on the end of the hi6 to? You did set them, didn't you? The first one is thousands and the second is hundreds

![]() Thanks for your reply...
I just found the rotary dials and set them to 7 and 0... I had a shop near my work install the Hi6. Prior to setting them to 7 and 0 they were at 2 and 0. 7 and 0 should yield 7000 rpms right??? Thanks, Tony

![]() Thats what the instructions say. I have mine set for 6000 but my engine is pretty much stock so it ususally doesn't even see over 5200 (only when Iforget to shift )

![]() Thanks for the help Bill...
For this to work do you need the "Optional Switch for Retard, Anti-Theft or stage Limit" switch that connects to the yellow/white wire??? Tony

![]() I test drove it tonight and setting the dials didn't help any. Even when I put them to zeros, it still couldn't get past approx. 5400rpms...
Do you guys have any other ideas.

![]() Could it possibly be a weak or bad battery or coil???
Since I put the 4.10s on the same day, could it be that I need to have my auto logic chip re tuned for that gear ratio??? it wasn't a problem when I had the 3.73s...
