Personally, I don't trust the dry systems, mostly because I don't like having to depend on the regulator and injectors for the extra fuel. Failure of diaphragm regulators is fairly common, and injectors don't always flow evenly. Plus, the dry kits deliver fuel by spiking the fuel pressure. That inceases the odds of an injector sticking.
Puddling shouldn't be a problem if you activate the n2o only when the RPM's are up to 2500-3000 rpm. Then the intake air velocity is high enough to carry the mixture through the intake.

As for that switch in the movie, that's an aircraft switch cover. They fit on any shaft mounted toggle switch. They're about $25, and are sold seperately from the toggle switch.
