i just bought a 95 gts mustang it is completely stock and i need some mods suggestions. the car is really fast and really strong but i want it faster. it is an automatic i was considering the t-5 conversion but that is later in the future but until then what can i do to get more speed? I raced a 95 trans am and it beat me pretty bad, and i want to get thas guy back i don't have a pile of money either. so anything at all will be better than nothing. Thanks in advance. KRIS

Ok how much money do you have to spend? If you want to beat the trans am for the cheapest amount of money then I'd get NOS. $500=100hp=$5 per hp can't beat that. If you want to stay N/A go with

Gears, I'd recomend 4:10's for your AUTO, probably run you from $400-500 to buy them and have them installed.

Pullies, about $50 give you from 5-10hp and real easy to install although if you live somewhere that it get's real hot(like tx) be careful about cooling problems.

Yank your airsilencer and buy a K&N or get a ram air setup, for the K&N it's about $50 and should get you another 5hp.

Again if you could give us an idea of how much money you have to spend I could make some better suggestions. Oh and if you really want to smoke him, get the gears, pullies, K&N AND the NOS. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif

Thanks for all the info i really appreciate it. I went today and had the exhaust done i got flowmasters and 5in chrome tips. next is the 4:10's. thanks again.

Heh, heh...yup...5" tips are a bit (ok...a WHOLE BUNCH) extreme.

For your auto setup, you'll need a torque converter stalling in the 2500-2800 rpm range (PI makes a nice unit but it's pricey) and a quality shift kit (Transgo is one of the best).

My '95 responded really well to an off-road H-pipe (plus it sounds really cool).

I agree that gears would be the next biggest improvement. NOS would also help.

i want to stay n/a. were is the best place to get an offroad-pipe. where does it go? in place of the 4 converters? i removed the silencer and got a k&n today, felt a lot more power (sotp). can't wait for the gears, any suggestions as far as name brands go i'm going to use the 4:10's just what kind and how much $?
