Post is it the throwout bearing?

I can barely shift my T-5. It takes a great deal of force to put her into gear now. The throwout bearing used to squeal until I adjusted it back a little. After I adjusted it that first time then I would have to adjust it every couple weeks.

I tried bringing it back some more but I am as far forward as I can get on the clutch cable where it hooks up with the clutch fork.
When the car is shut off I can shift without the clutch going from 1-2-3-4 and 5th. Does anyone know what's up with this? Thanks

your clutch may be gone already, check the fork it may bent or worn finger that hold throw out brg. I had the same problem before, my clutch burnt up in 8 months because i kept adjusted the cable due to clutch was hard to engaged, very hard pedal.I took out everything all the way to the flywheel.I resurface flywheel, installed new king cobra clutch, replace the fork (the old one worn pretty bad),change stud ball on the inside of bell housing too you should change this when you change the fork because both of them wear down the same time and bamm!!! all problems were gone.Hope this help

Red face

What kind of clutch fork did you get? I have never seen any aftermarket ones for stangs yet.

If my clutch is fried I will sh*t a twinkie. I just got it in March '01.
