1993 Cobras are 4 lug? For some reason I thought they were 5 lug. Anyway, 15 inch rims are a great idea as long as they clear your rear calipers. If you are looking for a strip only tire, with some street use The ET Streets are best. After that, I would get some drag radials. I am not sure of they newer 15 inch sizes, but be sure they are larger than the 235's that are available. A 245 or 255 is what you want.

Default Need to hook-up! Tires?

Hey all!
I'm tired of 2.22 60' times and my street tires. I have a set of '93 15 inch 10-hole rims to put on the rear with some DR's & was wondering if that would really be any better than just putting DR's on my stock 17 inch rims. Not sure if it would be worth having to swap rims every time I went to the track just to save a few bucks on smaller(rim size) tires. Any suggestions on what tires to get, & even where to get a good deal on them, would be greatly appreciated! Later!

yea, you really want more sidewall on a tire to hookup, 17's arent too much on sidewalls, but i believe e.t.streets are good for everyday driving, well at least on dry nice days, so yea 15 in rims are good for dragracing if they clear, i see alot of guys at the track with slicks on some turbine, or 10 hole rims, it only takes a second to swap um.
