Question Need to decide: 3.55 or 3.73

Ok, I know in the past it seems that 90% of you have recommended the 3.73s. BUT, I use my car as a daily driver (about 40 miles a day - highway) and was wondering if 3.55s might be a better idea for me. I don't plan on doing much racing with the car when its done. At the most a few times a year. Also, my engine has about 120,000 miles on it. I was always told that you start building a car from the rear and work your way forward. Trans and motor will probably get done next spring. Will 3.73s put to much strain on my tired motor in the mean time??
