Does it happen at a certain rpm or only at 80-85?
Mine did that and I replaced the driveshaft with an aluminum one, and that solved it!

I had the same problem too. I replaced the driveshaft with an aluminum one, but it was a day late and a dollar short. My tranny is hosed now. Since you've already replaced it, check the bolts. Also check the transmission bolts. I don't know what the problem is, but that's what I'd do before anything else.

It did it under power first...then it continued as I clutched it...it didn't stop until I downshifted.

Default Another possible fix

You might want to get a new harmonic balancer. Mine did it a few years ago and I changed the driveshaft and it didn't help. I put on a Ford Motorsport harmonic balancer and the problem was solved. Hope this helps.

Default Had the same problem...

Had the exact same problem about three weeks ago. Minor vibrations became very apparent under stress and high speed. I would look at my Pro 5.0 shifter knob in disbelief. Anyway, I dropped my driveshaft and found my U-Joints completely shot. One bearing had cracked. Fortunately, no harm done. Got the "good" ones from Napa with the grease fitting on 'em. Hope this helps...good luck.

so it still vibrates at 85 even when the clutch is in and rpms are down?

When I put my alum driveshaft in, the damn bolts kept coming loose, check em!

also try rotating your driveshaft 180 degrees.

i tell you what bluebeast my car is doing the same thing with the clutch in or out. and mine didn't start until i put a centerforce dual friction clutch. i turned the flywheel at a local auto part shop and was either thinking that is was from a warped flywheel or the centerforce. A few people having centerforces told me this is a common problem. I hope not, i paid alot for that thing.

Yeah...I've got the dual friction clutch too...Maybe I'll have to scrap it for something different...First though..I'm gonna make sure it's not the bolts or a drive shaft issue. Thanks you guys this has been very enlightening.

Default Vibration

Had a bad vibration on my blower car several years ago. Checked out driveshaft, yokes and even swapped driveshaft (installed alum). Checked out clutch and changed clutch (went from Dual Fric. to Motorsport). Still didn't fix the problem. Bought a SFI balancer and pulled the factory balancer. Found the snout on the stock balancer had a hairline crack. Replaced balancer and problem was resolved. If you have any mods on a Stang I would buy a SFI balancer anyway. Stock balancers a junk in a performance application. After I had this problem several Mustang owners with semi to highly modded cars have had the same problems. The Force

Default Vibration

I thought I was the only one with that exact same problem. The vibration would start @75mph in fifth gear and continue to about 85mph or so. Waht I found out was the WC T-5 has a sleeve in the tail shaft where your driveshaft rides on and over time it will wear and create slop. I replaced that sleve and the problem went away. But now I have a trem 3350 with alm drive. hope that helps.
