Default need help quick...Will a EEC-IV computer from a non-HO 88 Cougar...

work on a HO engine that came from a '86 lincoln mark VII?

I got the engine last week, but the guy didnt have most of the wiring....he just cut most of it when he pulled the engine.

I was able to find a '88 Cougar nn-HO at the junkyard that still had most of the wiring intact. I grabed the harness, the computer, and the injector wires.

Anyone know if the computer or wiring is pretty much the same?

The car I'm putting it in is an '86 Mustang 3.8l V6. I just pulled the engine out of it last night.
