Question Need to know if P245/50/16 tires are too wide for front?

I've heard that the P245/50/16 tires will rub on the front of my stang. Is this true? Is it a bad rub or only if you are cranking the tires all the way? Thanks.

So what will work? Can I even go with the P235/50/16?? I want to get the same size tires all the way around so I can rotate them after I burn the back ones down a little.

Cool

I have P245/50/R16 all the way around on my car and they rub a little bit, mostly when i turn left. I dont think it really matters but make sure you have them rotated.

I have 245 50 16's on my 88 and they rub only a little. The springs are also stock. My buddy tried them on his 88 and they rubbed alot, his car is also lowered 2"
Also the tires are on ponys.

I had 245 50 16s on the front and rear of my 93 gt. No rubbing, but I had problems steering in and out of ruts in the road because of the wide front tires. I went down to 225 50 16s on the front, and that improved my steering greatly. Sure, you cant rotate the tires, but its been 2 years, and the tread depth looks about the same for both.

i ran 245/45/16 with very minumal rubbing on a 87 lx..IMHO 245/45/16 are the best looking tires for a 16" rim
