Do you have the "street" or larger, like
"R" heads? I see you have the track
heat intake. That may be where some
of your lower end torque is going,
especially if you have the larger heads.
The Stg 1 cam should be good, but the
torque curve of the intake may be a
little mismatched to the high side of
the cam's curve. 3.73's should help
some, don't know about the converter.
I did my AOD & researched it a bunch,
found that the less expensive converters
lost torque multiplication compared to
the higher cost ones. I've got a 2500
Art Carr in my upgraded AOD w/stock HO
in a 4000lb + Mark VII and it comes of
the line strong even w/stock 3.27's.
(relatively speaking to stock, of course,
for a small stock motor and heavy car).
Did you add a shift kit? I'd check www.baumannengineering.com - about the
best conventional shift kit (works good
in mine), or check www.lentechautomatics.com
for the street terminator valve body.
All indications are that's the next
wave of AOD upgrades. Good luck!
