Need opinions on new combo about headers and carb size.

I am planning a new combo this winter. I don't want to have to buy new heads, headers or carb if I don't have to since they all are new this year. I have a 351w I would like to put in a steel crank, H beam rods, 12.5 pistons. I already have Windsor senior alum. heads that are ported and polished. Add a Victor jr. intake to go with my 750dp. The cam with be a solid lift cam around .600 lift (don't have an exact one picked out yet). My headers are hooker super comps. I know it is hard to tell but what is a good guess of horsepower for this combo and what is a good gear for my 8.8. Do you think I can hook it up on 10.5 inch hoosiers?
Thanks for any input.

Hey Ciara,
I put a combo together somewhat similar for a guy a few years ago. The heads were D00Es ported w/190-160 valves, Herbert roller 610 lift 234/238 duration, victor jr, 750 dp only 10.5 comp. 10in covertor c4, 410 gears in a heavy 73 stang. It ran 11.8 aT 116. That was on street tires (MT). You didn't mention trans. But probably 3:73 would be good gear. You will need good suspention and make sure the frames are tied and youll need at least a 6 point rollbar as fast youll be going maybe a cage. Oh yeah we used Hooker 1 5/8 headers on that 73

for your particular combo i would guess around 500 hp. i would use 3:73's if its street driven often or 4:10's if not. 10.5" hoosiers should be plenty of rubber to hook up nice.
