Question need recipe for 10's w/351w in 87 lx!!

I am preparing to build a new engine for my 87 lx mustang and would like some help!! I am starting with "69 351w block and going from there. My goal is to run 10's with no more than 100hp nos. Some plans include Brodix T-1 heads, hyd roller cam, 5spd, 3.73 gears, the rest is all up in the air. Including carb vs. EFI. Looking for proven combinations!! The biggest factor of all, running at 6000ft!! I appreciate any help.

well i would recomend a solid roller cam but thats just choice. i have plenty of combos but money is a factor. whats your budget? i have some parts you will need for sale. h-beam rods, forged pistons for tfs heads, dss main support, roller lifter, crank, etc. all are brand new never used. except for the lifters which are crower solid roller and the crank which is stock and has been deburred. let me know. ill try to help you out.

392 stroker @ 3200 lbs race weight = 10's

Well if you can get it to pump out 540 hp, If you follow the recipe in MM&FF with thier 185 AFR headed 392 the heads are sneaking up on the limit in terms of unported airflow capability (they're good for about 580 hp max in N/A form).

yup, go with AFR 185s, and with that on top of a 392, you shouldn't need a power adder.

Question

but how much power is there to be made by going to 392 over a stock stroke 351? and how do the brodix T-1s compare to the afr? and keep in mind that I am at 6000ft. On the 392 are we talking about carb or efi? I appreciate all the info I just need more details.
