![]() well i just got my new combo together 306 bottom end edelbrock 6037 heads custom cam air gap intake demon 650 carb morroso oil pan heres the thing i take it out and beat the **** out of it and there is oil all over the underneath of the car and its down the back of the oil pan like it looks like its comming from the rear main seal anybody had this problem the motor is freshly rebuilt i was thinking maybee im building to much pressure in the crank case and thats the best spot for it to get out but it seems like alot of oil i have motorport valve covers with a breather on each one so i figured that probably vents it pretty good and if its the rear main seal whats the fastest way to change it in your opinions pull hte whole motor and trans or lay on my back and pull out the heavy *** tremec. thanks in advance

![]() clean it up and start it and let it run while your underneath if it's leaking that bad you shouldn't have any trouble finding where it's coming from if it is the rear main seal pulling the trans is the quickest way to get to it.

![]() ![]() I'd do just what BBCoupe said and clean it up really really good then start it and watch it closely from all angles ![]() If your you're building enough pressure to blow a main seal with two breathers then you have a serious ring seal problem ! |
