Question about my new C&L 76mm
Yesterday I got the new 76mm C&L MAF and I finally got a chance to put it on this morning when it quit raining. Well, after I started the car, it idled really low (about 600rpm)and the vacuum was about 6 in. HG's. After I let the car get up to operating temperature and pulled out of the driveway and down the road, it had absolutely NO power. Instead of revving, it kinda buzzed its way up to 2500RPM, then kicks in with a little more power. It kinda sputtered and buzzed for about ten minutes until the problem gradually went away. So, after the engine got good and warm, it stopped. I am wondering if this is because the computer hasn't had time to adjust to the new settings or if this is a problem with the calibration of the meter. Anyone have any ideas? I have the battery unplugged letting the computer reset.. I hope this helps.

Did you reset the computer before installing? I let mine sit for quite a while after installation since it only too a few minutes to do. Make sure you didn't damage the MAFS probes and that its plugged in completely. Also, be sure that there aren't any leaks (hose clamps tightened good).

Also, make sure the MAF connector is on tight, and that no other connectors were knocked loose during the installation.

Thanks for the input guys! I think I will go out there and check everything real good tomorrow. It is supposed to be great weather and I think it is going to be a good day to do a little work on the car. It very well could be any of those things you mentioned. I'll give it a good looking over. Thanks again.
