Question New distributor changing to victor jr?

I have a torker II with a MSD distributor #8584. I am switching to a victor jr intake and I see in the catalogs that I need to get a 80805 distributor because they say use with victor jr intake. Is there anyway my old dist. will fit or do I have to have the victor jr specific one? Also what is the difference in the two dist. ?

I think the difference is that one has a narrow or smaller base and uses the small cap whereas the other is similar in size to stock Ford with the big cap. I couldn't tell you though if the one you have fits
