A little coolant leaking...???
As you all probably know, I just got my car. I noticed, however, that if I start my car and drive it, it will leak no coolant and will run at the temerature it should. When I turn the car off, after about a minute, it will start leaking coolant for about a minute. It will then stop. But the next time I turn off the car, it does the same thing. I looked at it with a friend, and we both think that it is coming from a loose hose near the overflow tank. Is this normal for 5.0's? I thought it was never good if your car leaked coolant.

it's not good to leak coolant
When I got my car the coolent leaked too. Mine was a simple fix. I just checked all the hoses and the hose going from the bottom of the overflow tank to the radiator cap was severed. It was only $3 for a new hose. You may want to check the other hoses too. The top and the bottom hoses going into the radiator were only $30 to replace the both of them, plus now they have a lifetime warranty on them. You may also want to replace the clamps that hold the hoses on, mine were old and rusted. Take care, Keith

I would replace your radiator hoses and bypass hoses and make sure the clamps are secured tightly. When I bought mine it was leaking coolant also, but from the waterpump since the first seal was bad. Just try the easy fixes first though.
