The New Improved Fox
...well, cosmetically anyway.
Got a cheap "temporary" paint job about 2 weeks ago as a present from a friend who kept pushing me to get my car painted. Well here it is. Heh, heh. Looks good adn actually came out much better than I expected. I went with white, ---most of the car was already white (I was like "hey man, I just want it all white, that's all I want"). ---very hard to see defects (cracking or rough spots) with white paint, ESPECIALLY in bright daylight. --partially inspired by Rick91GT's car. They also put in a black headliner for me--nice, but now the car sounds hollow inside if you talk loud. who cares though. To tell the truth, I had never b4 considered white as an option for a permanent paint job, but I guess it's on the list now. I'm really starting to like white alot. Well, I wouldn't tell you guys and not show photos so here they are. ----------------------------------------- 351W-powered 1979 Ford Mustang notchback Stock 5.8L under 4" cowl, C4 w/ shift kit Holley 750 cfm, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake 1 5/8" MAC shorty headers, Al driveshaft 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters Front: 225/60/15, Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II Weld wheels (15x6;15x8), 8.8" Rear w/ 3.55s 14 x 4” K&N air filter (getting the Xtreme setup someday) "Red, thou art my companion. How cheap was the paint job, I am in the same boat you were in. Friends are nagging me to just throw a cheap coat of pain on to make it look half way decent.

That looks good FOX! You've inspired me. I do believe it's time to paint the '84.....just need to pay off the rest of the '89. My '84 looks pretty ragged, the hood paint is all oxidized and so are the tops of the fenders and my front nose doesn't match, i also need to put on the fender extensions i got to match the nose (and paint those as well).

Thanks for the compliments, guys.
84LX89GT, I was kinda inspired by another MW member too, as previously mentioned LX NCH 50, we're talking $260 cheap (which included new headliner). It's only supposed to be temporary (I think it will live up to it's "temporary" expectations). Being broke SUCKS. A good friend of mine put up the money for the paint job for me. He kept nagging me about getting it painted and yes, I kinda was tired of having a multi-colored stang (not really my style, you know)... so... Anyway, it actually looks better than my low quality photos let on. ----------------------------------------- 351W-powered 1979 Ford Mustang notchback Stock 5.8L under 4" cowl, C4 w/ shift kit Holley 750 cfm, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake 1 5/8" MAC shorty headers, Al driveshaft 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters Front: 225/60/15, Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II Weld wheels (15x6;15x8), 8.8" Rear w/ 3.55s 14 x 4” K&N air filter (getting the Xtreme setup someday) "Red, thou art my companion.
