Default msd blaster coil noise

very annnoying! can hear coil loud and clear in the driver's seat. stock was quiet. is this normal for msd blaster coil or a defective unit? how can i solve this? maybe some rubber mounting gromets for the 4 mounting screws? do the screws ground the unit?

Mine does the exact same thing. You could put an extra capacitor near the coil like the factory has or do what I have done and lived with it for three years. Actually you really dont notice it at all after awhile.

Some do, some don't. My MSD TFI Blaster coil doesn't make a sound. I have friends who have had loud ones and some quiet ones.

If its as bad as you say it is that aint right. You should of returned it and got one that didnt do that. Probably too late now. I'd get pretty annoyed with something like that after 5 minutes, but three years!
