New to the scene ....Help?

Hello,
I am looking for some advice I just purchesed a 93 lx 5.0 5 speed with 60,000 miles. I have very little experience with these cars as I have always driven a truck or ridden one of my bikes. When I purchased this car it was completely stock. I have since added equal length shorty headers and a 2 1/2" xpipe and flowmasters. On the other end a mac cold air induction kit and a set of pulleys. Now for the questions. I want a very streetable car with a near stock power band just lots more of it. I do not wish to upgrade the trans or lose my a/c. I intend to use a 70 mm throttle body and mass air as well as 24 lb per hour injectors a fuel pressure regulator ,155 fuel pump and a good set of heads as well as roller rockers and a cam swap. Which heads to use?1.94-1.60 with 58 cc chambers or 2.02-1.60 with64 cc? Tell me about phenolic spacer and if the are a benefit. What about performance chips.Do I need to get my intake extrude honed?Which cam to use? I don't want to go into the bottom end at all and I am looking to be well into the 300 rear wheel range. Am I forgetting any thing? I want a strong balanced system that is streetable and fun to drive(relatively low maintenance). Thank you in advance,

William

Well your on the right track, check out my combo, mine consist of all stock heads, cam and intake, but to achieve 300rwhp, you need more than what i have, Heads you want will probaly need to be iron heads if your looking for a low end powerband, windsor sr.'s are a good choice, and have a 202 valve, one more thing that i recomend every stang have, is an electric fan, some folks here disagree and say they overheat, i have never ran cooler to honest, and i felt the power gain, probaly cuz my old clutch fan was worn.....good luck, you should receive much help from everyone here.

oh yea, rear end gears are the best mod for begginers, you will stay in the powerband where your car makes power, but depends on how much higway driving you do, and which gearset you choose.
