Default Next engine mod/fuel requirement?

I just got back into my mustang after years of neglect and love my new exhaust. I don't want to touch the heads, cam, or gears for now. I'm not into 1/4 mile anymore so launching components are not an issue. I was thinking about doing the TB, and upper/lower intake. What can I expect to gain? Is it even worth it at this point in time? I'll eventually get a new longblock after the current one starts to smoke or something - I just wanted to start buying parts to enjoy now that I could transfer later. Would the acceleration difference be comparable to the exhaust mod - more/less? Will I have to upgrade my fuel system if I do this?
