![]() I have a couple of real good deals on adjustable WET nitrous kits from 50-150hp around $350 used. I really want a nos kit, but I heard dry is a lot better and safer, but I can't find any used ones for sale. There are a lot of wet ones for sale though. Should I get one? What do you guys think?

![]() Ever think that there are way more wet kits for sale for a reason?
A wet kit is ok if you really know nitrous. A dry kit is obviously much more worry free. I have never had one single problem in 2 years with my dry kit. Not one. No fuel puddling in the intake waiting to kaboom either. I think the big complaint about dry kits is their adjustability. You are pretty much limited to 175 hp max. Obviously not enough for the 500 hp fogger nitrous junkie. And why buy a used kit for 350.00 when a new dry stage 1 kit is only 120.00 more from Summit. Then you get instructions, brand new solonoids, a scratch free bottle, etc... My .02 |

![]() I like the wet systems...go wet. I know poeople using wet systems with no problem with fuel puddling, and wet is more reliable.

![]() If you go to a dry system you'll need to upgrade your injectors Sky. You're already running 400hp N/A on 24lbers. If you start adding a decent N2O shot under the hood, when the dry kit require's your injectors to add fuel you could run lean. There are additional expenses involved in your conversion to note because of that.

![]() Mach1, in what way is wet more reliable? IM now confused as the opinions really seem to differ here..

![]() I have been running a dry kit for over a year now, not one problem except I bought the kit used and I had to rebuild the solenoids. I am dead set on dry kits Skyman. I have seen an intake blown through a hood into the stands because of a wet kit so I don't think I would ever put one on my car.

![]() I consider them more reliable because you know where your fuel is coming from. Your not relying on some method of increasing pressure, which is more likey to fail than simply injecting more fuel through another fuel line.
I think anyone who blew their intake off is probably because they didnt know what they were doing, didnt run the nitrous on the conservative side, etc...not because they had a wet system. ------------------ 1993 GT/AOD '93 Mustang GT |

![]() Here is a possibility. Wet kit. A hard nitrous launch, the car hooks and bogs. A backfire could happen then. Not that it happens every day.
Dry kits are tempermental with bottle pressure. They put out a lot less power when the bottle is cold. More of a power drop than the wet kit. |

![]() Well, wet vs. dry is as bad as ford vs. chevy. You are going to have a bunch of answers from either side of the fence and each answer can have two meanings. Kinda confusing isn't it. I would weight the pros and cons of each and decide which one you feel is more to your liking. Just from what I have seen, either kit will work well. They both have an equal amount of good and bad. If you have a good oppurtunity to get a nice kit, one that is in good shape, then I would do it. Just make sure you play it safe and smart and shouldn't have any problems.
