noisy coil
 

Hey guys, I installed FRPP 9mm's a couple of weeks ago along with a new set of plugs. I just installed an MSD Pro-billet distributor and set the timing @14&#176. The car ran great. I then installed an MSD Blaster Coil and checked the timing and the car runs great. I reset the computer and test drove. It runs excellent.

The problem is the Blaster coil is making a high pitched buzzing sound. Does anyone know why?

LOL. I knew it was an MSD coil just from the title of the thread. MSD coils are famous for their noise. It's not every single one that does it, but most will, at some point.

thanks chris, when the radio's on I can't hear it, but should I expect it to get worse? I hope not.

It might. I've heard some pretty loud ones.
