![]() I have a 94 Mustang GT 5.0 w/ 54,000 miles. I put it on the Ford computer and it came back that the torc converter was bad. Changed the torc and it sill jerks and dies when put into drive or reverse. Torc is ok, had it checked. Ford says come back and we will test it again for another $50 but they are sure it is the torc. Starts good but keeps dying, dying, dying. Usually have to floor it to get started. NEED HELP DESPARATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

![]() I had a similar problem once. I had to adjust the idle screw, its under the throttle body. I just had to make 1/4 turns until it would stay running good.
I'm not saying that its not the convertor, its just what worked for me. Good luck. ------------------ Rick My 89lx(updated 2/21/2001) My 97 Cobra |
