rofl...RHC site forum....
Anyone try to access it today? The account is temporarily out of service. It says to contact the billing/service department...lol, its like not paying the elctric bill and the lights have gone out..
 ....probably not that, but anyone know what is up? i just think thats funny is all ...   EDIT: and i'm glad no one has brought up UF's game on saturday...*shudder*....

This past weekend he took his wife up the coast to Big Sur, and had a very nice time. When he got back, he got a call from his son, who told him that Saturday night someone broke into the trailer and stole every single piece of his Mac computer equipment. In anger, and without thinking, he called the service that hosted his site, and cancelled his account, before I had the chance to back it up. So, our message board is gone until we set it up again (groan) on some new server space. Honestly, right now that is the least of my concerns. I feel a great deal of pain from this, even though it wasn't my equipment. Gary is a good guy, and he spent a lot of money, and was very happy. Now his money and his source of happiness are gone. I have done a little research, and have a good idea who the theif is. Problem is he's got warrants, so the cops are already looking for him, and he stole an HA's Harley about a month ago, so the Ventura chapter of the Hells Angels is looking for him too. I asked them to let me have him for 20 minutes first when they find him, but it's not going to happen. He'll just disappear forever, like evry other fool that fukks with them. I'm still looking under rocks, though. I'll get a message board up again pretty soon. Take care, ~Chris

All gone. I could have backed it up in 5 minutes if Gary had called me befoire he closed out his account, but it didn't happen.
I had several weeks in graphics and set-up in his site, too, and now that's mostly gone. I have an older back-up of his stuff, but still.

Is there any way to have him call back up and maybe they have a backup copy, it would be nice to have out old site back, u did really good work to it.

even though i'm opposed to the RHC and think it is in very poor taste...........
i am sorry that happened and feel for you.........i've put a lot of time and effort into a few sites in my day and i'd have been very upset if i lost them i wish you the best of luck in getting a 2nd effort back up on the web and hope that you enjoy the results even more than the 1st one

Chris - does your friend have insurance? It should cover theft of personal property for sure. I know this doesn't replace all his lost files, etc., but at least he can get funds for new equipment.

I'm sorry to hear this Chris, I thought it was just a glitch with the servers or something of that nature, not something this bad. I know you put a lot of hard work into getting that site up and running and keeping it up, so I appreciate that. Take your time doing the next forums, we could wait (that is if you deceide to do the forums again). This guy will get what's coming to him one way or another, take it easy, Keith.
