I am relocating from MN to NC next month and found out that NC has car inspections which include passing a sniffer. Here in MN there is no inspections and all the emission items are no longer on my car. In addition the car has been modified and I am certain it cannot pass an inspection.

My question is, does NC have any programs that allow for vehicles like mine to be licensed without returning the car to factory specifications? Since the car has been retired to mostly car shows and occasional Sunday afternoon drives putting on maybe 3000 miles a year. Anyone in the know out there?
