o2 sensor help!
I just installed a set of BBK longtubes and in the directions it said something about removing the wire from the chassis clips or something....well i think i did because i got the driver side o2 sensor screwed into the collecftor but the passenger side is still about 3 inches to short ( i hate when that happens...) does anybody have any tips to help me out. thanks
|
Whats 3'' too short? Your o2 sensor? Your chassis clips?
"well I think I did"??????? |
i rerouted mine... i ran it around the bell housing by the lower part of the fire wall.... works a great so far.. no melted wires yet

AutoZone sells some longer connectors, unless you have the long ones already.
|
its my o2 sensor thats too short.....are the connectors from autozone ready or do you have to splice to get them on
|
They are ready
They sell two versions. One has a wire that's only about 4-6 in. The other has a wire that's about 12 in long. They are the same price, around 37 dollars each, (bosch). Take care, Keith

thanx....looks like ill be taking a trip to autozone...

also i turned on my car today for the first time i had everything finished (headers/hpipe) and smoke started coming out of the headers flanges the only thing is the headers bolts are all the way tight and cant tighten anymore......is it the new gasket? grease from my hands burning off?
|
yes, always after exhaust mods, the grease and crap from handling the pipe and headers etc will burn off and smoke just abit, if the smoking doesn't stop after 5 or 7 min you might have a problem somewhere else.
