IT WAS THE COIL! THE GODDAMNED COIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I put my buddys coil on tonight and the car started right up and ran perfectly. Made a few runs with it up and down the highway, and it was perfect. I'm so skeptical though, I'm so afraid this is just a freak occurance!
Anyone know how to test a coil???

What was your prob? I have that same coil I think.

Another person falls to MSD, this is why I don't trust them for fords, heard too many bad things.

Joe - great to hear that you've got it figured out! Sorry I didn't pitch-in on the original thread, but it was way over my head. Especially with Chris, et al involved. (That guy really knows his stuff!) :D

Now the only thing that really stinks is that I have that same coil! Oh well, at least I'll remember this post if I ever have the same type of issue.

I can't really say anything bad about MSD. This was the only problem I've ever had and that coil was 6 years old, and was abused. **** happens I guess!
