Oil Burning

OK, I have a couple questions. What I will do is explain what is going on and what I have done, and anyone that can give some info please do. I have a '90 GT with about 95,000 miles on it. I have noticed that it is burning a lot of oil. Probably a quart every 2 weeks or so. I can see the blueish smoke come out when I stab the throttle real quick. I also see dark brown smoke whenever i am at WOT, as if its running rich. I have done a compression check and all cylinders are in the 154-156 range, no compression problems. I am thinking the that oil problem may be from bad oil control in the Heads. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like your valve guides are worn. Go read the post I just posted about a vacuum gauge. There are the answers on how to determine your problem there.

Take care
