![]() I have an Edelbrock Performer intake and for whatever reason, I am getting oil inside the intake. Its clean at the throttle body but when I take the side cover off I am seeing puddles of oil. My pcv valve is fine. Ever since I have had this intake it has seemed to be like this. Also, my oil consumption was fine until I went and put a set of GT-40P heads (which were just rebuilt) and an E-303 cam. Now, when I am driving and happen to get into it I get a cloud of smoke. The smoke seems to be worse on the drivers side. I dont know what the rings were like because I didnt have the pistons out. The cylinder walls looked fine though. I didnt have this problem before I changed the heads and cam. Also, when I did all this I went from using normal 10w-30 oil to Castrol Synthetic 5w-30. Could this be why? Could the oil in the intake have anything to do with this?
